Alcoholic beverages: certified farmers’ market sales permit

Licensed winegrowers may sell wine made from agricultural products they did not grow themselves. Markets may host up to three wine instructional tastings at once, with responsible beverage service training required.

What the law does ​

• Removes the requirement that wine sold under a certified farmers’ market sales permit be made from grapes or other agricultural products grown by the winegrower.
• Allows up to three licensees to conduct instructional wine tastings during a certified farmers’ market’s operating hours.
• Requires instructional tastings under these permits to comply with Responsible Beverage Service training requirements.
