Tribal-state gaming: compact ratification

The compact authorizes the state’s gaming agreement with the Yurok Tribe and takes effect immediately to support the tribe’s economic development and self-sufficiency.

• Ratifies the tribal-state gaming compact signed by California and the Yurok Tribe on August 4, 2026.
• Excludes the compact, its amendments, certain compact-authorized intergovernmental agreements, and on-reservation compliance impacts from review as projects under the California Environmental Quality Act.
• Keeps California Environmental Quality Act requirements in place for cities, counties, the Department of Transportation, and other state agencies except for the specified exclusions.
• Makes the law effective immediately.
